Rules and Regulations for Readers

1. Changzhou Library provides free public cultural service for you. You could apply for a Reader’s Card with your valid identification before you enter the reading rooms.

2. Readers should be aware of their appearance, be dressed decently and be polite and civilized in the Library.

3. Please take care of your personal belongings. You could deposit it in our library, except the expensive ones. Don’t deposit overnight.

4. Please take good care of the public literatures. Don’t make notes or tear.

5. Please take good care of the public facilities. Please keep the library quiet and tidy. Pets, food and drinks are not allowed to be taken to the reading rooms.

6. Please keep quiet. Mute your cellphone and make phone calls with low voice.

7. Don’t smoke or make a fire here.

8. Please obey the rules and support our work.

Reading and Lending Regulations

1. Each reader could enter the reading room and borrow books with a valid reader’s card.

2. A-level Reader’s Card could keep 3 borrowed books, B-level Reader’s Card could keep 2 borrowed books, both for 30 days. You can’t return the book on the day you borrow it. If the book is not reserved, you can renew it for 15 days before your 30-day-time run out. If you don’t return the books on time, you have to pay ￥0.1 each book each day. 3. Take care of the bar code on the book. If the bar code was destroyed, you have to pay 10% of the book price for it.

4. The literature in Changzhou Library belongs to the country. If you lose or destroy it, you have to compensate.
