自1986年以来，常州市已在全球五大洲27个国家缔结54个国际友好城市，其中常州市本级29个，辖市区25个。

国际友城合作为我市对外开放和友好交往架起了一座座友谊之桥，增进了感情和友谊，促进了文化文明交融，实现了经济发展共赢，推动了民生事业共享，在经贸、科技、教育、旅游、文化等多领域交流合作结出累累硕果。

未来，常州市将继往开来，持续拓展国际“朋友圈”，聚友城之能，乘开放之势，向着“国际化智造名城”大步迈进。

Since 1986, Changzhou has established ties with 54 sister cities in 27 countries across five continents. They include 29 sister cities on the municipal level and 25 friendship ties established by different districts.

The sister-city partnership serves as a bridge between Changzhou and other parts of the world. It has strengthened bonds between different civilizations, facilitated win-win economic development, promoted cultural exchanges and improved civic engagement, with tangible fruits yielded in the fields of trade, economy, science, technology, education, tourism and culture.

In the future, we will continue to expand our networks of international friends through further opening-up. With resources and experience from sister cities, we will strive towards the goal of developing Changzhou into an international star city of smart manufacturing.
